Who We Are – Why We Are – Where We’re At

Our story

In the quest for a vision that spans centuries, an inquiry echoed: “Does Montgomery 2320 embody a 300-year vision?” This very question had crossed my mind when, in the year 2020, we embarked on the journey of founding Montgomery 2320 Business Development Services LLC. However, let me assure you, our name is not an arbitrary number but a testament to resilience and unwavering determination.

The genesis of our name derives from a convergence of two profound points in our life’s journey. It begins with a hand-crafted sign bearing our name and address, a cherished relic from our first home that we had the privilege of owning in 2005, only to lose it in the harrowing throes of the great recession and sub-prime mortgage crisis in 2006. This sign, bestowed upon us as a housewarming gift by a compassionate family member, became a beacon of motivation in the aftermath of such a monumental loss.

Faced with the daunting task of starting anew, we harnessed the indomitable spirit kindled by that sign and coupled it with the development of our very first business. From this crucible of determination and unwavering resolve, Montgomery 2320 Business Development Services LLC emerged, dedicated to the noble cause of empowering others to realize their business aspirations.

For nearly six years now, we have diligently labored with the motto, “Helping Leaders Lead Better,” fostering growth and development in businesses and individuals alike. Montgomery 2320 Business Development Services LLC stands as a stalwart ally, unwavering in its commitment to guide you on your path to success.

Our mission is clear: we exist to aid in the development of your business, helping you build a thriving and sustainable enterprise poised for growth. Whether you are at the inception of your entrepreneurial journey or seeking to elevate your existing business to greater heights, Montgomery 2320 Business Development Services LLC is here, ready to support you at every turn.

About J. Robert Montgomery

“I am a Brand”

Building a Legacy of Faith, Resilience, and Entrepreneurship

My story is not one of shortcuts or overnight success. It is one of setbacks, perseverance, and divine purpose.

In 2005, my wife and I achieved what many dream of—we purchased our first home. Yet, beneath the joy were financial scars from past bankruptcy and credit challenges. A family decision to live on one income, paired with rising mortgage costs, ultimately forced us to let go of that home by the spring of 2006.

Instead of allowing defeat to define us, we embraced resilience. We relocated with our extended family, committed ourselves to rebuilding our credit, and endured years of financial strain. By 2013, we faced another financial low point—bankruptcy for over $150,000 in debt. At the same time, I battled health challenges, including a month-long hospitalization. These storms tested everything we had—but not our faith.
By 2014, I made a decision: we would not just survive, we would grow forward. In 2015, I returned to school to study Supply Chain and Logistics Management, sharpening the skills I knew would be foundational for the next chapter of my journey.

In 2016, a divine calling reshaped my life. Out of faith and conviction, I launched Food By The Word LLC—a venture rooted in Christian values, dedicated to natural and organic foods, and built to nourish both body and spirit. This was not just a business. It became a platform for fellowship, discipleship, and healthier living through biblical principles.
That same year, my professional path shifted dramatically. My commitment to honesty and integrity clashed with corporate expectations, leading to the end of a position. But that setback was, in truth, a release into my greater purpose. Drawing from nearly two decades of industry leadership—including roles as General Manager at Donatos Pizzeria and Dock Manager at Advanced Turf Solutions—I stepped fully into entrepreneurship.

Today, I lead Montgomery 2320 Business Development Services LLC, an enterprise that extends far beyond one business. With subsidiaries like Food By The Word and forward-focused initiatives such as Future Facing AI, our mission is clear: to equip leaders, build sustainable ventures, and shape the future of business through research, data, and innovation. In a world driven by rapid change, our strength is in turning raw information into actionable insights that empower decision-makers.
At the heart of every endeavor is faith.

Two verses guide my life and work:

• Deuteronomy 14:3 – “Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.”
• 1 Corinthians 10:24 – “Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.”

These are not just words; they are the foundation of a philosophy where business and faith intersect, where success is measured not only in profit but in impact, relationships, and legacy.
Every challenge I have faced has fueled growth. Every loss has prepared me for leadership. Every setback has been a setup for purpose.

This is more than entrepreneurship—it is a legacy in the making. A legacy where resilience is a testimony, faith is the driver, and entrepreneurship is the tool for building a brighter, purpose-driven future.

And the truth is—I’m just getting started.

My Values

Everyday I come to work, I come ready to succeed and grow our businesses, “This is who I am”!

“My Three Personal Rules:

1 Serve the Lord with all of my Heart

2 Serve my Family with all of Me

3 Grow Forward No Matter What!”

Montgomery 2320 Business Development Services LLC

At the heart of Montgomery 2320 Business Development Services LLC lies the enduring legacy of Frank R. Montgomery, a deeply respected pioneer whose lifetime of service, entrepreneurial excellence, and community-first leadership continues to shape our present and inspire our future.

Born in 1937 and passing in 2024, Frank’s life was defined by perseverance, purpose, and a rare depth of real-world experience that is increasingly scarce in today’s data-driven yet human-disconnected business landscape. His lived knowledge of public administration, grassroots economic development, and generational entrepreneurship serves as both blueprint and beacon for businesses navigating complexity in an ever-changing world.

From Scholar to Strategist: A Path Rooted in Purpose

Frank’s commitment to education and leadership was evident early. In 1974, while attending Pikes Peak College (formerly El Paso College), he was appointed President of the Veterans Club by the Financial Aid Director—a role he held until graduating with 112 credits and an Associate Degree in Business Management in 1975. Already envisioning greater impact, Frank seamlessly transferred to the University of Southern Colorado (now CSU Pueblo), where he earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration in just 15 months, graduating in 1976.

With a deepening interest in systems and service, he pursued a Master’s in Public Administration at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. His academic choices reflected his real-world experiences working in elementary and vocational training environments—proof that his education was not just for personal advancement, but for public good.

Transforming Communities through Urban Innovation

While still completing his graduate studies, Frank began working for the Pikes Peak Urban League as Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director. In response to a statewide call for community-based development programs, he was tasked with designing initiatives to serve marginalized populations.

Frank developed three original proposals—targeting senior citizens, formerly incarcerated individuals, and high school seniors at risk of dropping out. The State of Colorado selected his youth education and employment concept, leading to the creation of a groundbreaking 13-month program for 12th-grade students in Colorado Springs School District 11.

This model program brought together public schools, parents, local businesses, and nonprofit organizations to create a support ecosystem around each student. Participants attended weekday classes while completing workforce training on Saturdays through the Urban League. By the program’s conclusion, 39 students earned their high school diplomas, and many were placed in employment with top regional employers such as Hewlett-Packard, Litton Data Inc., White Automotive, Schlage Lock, and others—proof of Frank’s vision for sustainable economic mobility through partnership and preparation.

Entrepreneurship as Empowerment: A 60-Year Legacy

Beyond his public service contributions, Frank R. Montgomery was a serial entrepreneur and creative problem-solver, launching and managing over ten businesses across diverse sectors and geographies. From operating a nightclub in Roanoke, Virginia to running a chain of cleaners in Colorado Springs, his ventures reflected a fearless spirit and ability to build from scratch—again and again.

But it was back home in Indianapolis, Indiana that Frank would leave one of his most beloved marks: Bob’s Curios, an antique and vintage furniture shop located at 28th and Capitol Avenue. From 1995 to 2010, this humble storefront became a powerful anchor for the community—offering employment to neighborhood residents, supporting other minority-owned businesses, and serving as a cultural hub that honored history, art, and economic self-reliance.

Frank built not just a business, but a movement—fostering opportunity and community development in areas often overlooked by traditional investment. His generosity was legendary. His mentorship was personal. And his belief in people—especially those from underserved backgrounds—was unwavering.

A Lasting Light in a Data-Driven World

As Co-Founder of Montgomery 2320 Business Development Services LLC, Frank brought unparalleled insight to our mission of building sustainable business strategies for the next generation. His guidance helped position our firm as a modern consultancy rooted in timeless values—resilience, vision, justice, and long-game thinking.

In an age where leadership is often shaped by algorithms and short-term metrics, Frank R. Montgomery embodied something increasingly rare and deeply needed: authentic lived experience, multi-sector knowledge, and an unshakable commitment to people-centered progress.

We honor his life not simply in memory, but in movement—in every new venture we support, every underserved entrepreneur we equip, and every city we help reimagine through innovation and strategic intelligence.

Frank R. Montgomery’s legacy lives in the DNA of our work—and his vision carries forward in every step we take.

Rest in power. Your impact is immeasurable.
